I have chosen to take a gap year after college to explore the freelance work by either doing mostly video editing and assistance for creators which will help me gain access to the real-world experience by getting paid for creative projects. This year will give me the chance to test all of my skills, build up my portfolio, and see if i can turn my passion of media into a sustainable career. If these go well, I plan to continue down this route and eventually start up my own company. However, if freelancing doesn't lead to opportunities I'm hoping for Universities as my backup plan which I will apply next year.
