Proposed Client and Task
Client/task intro paragraph - I have been in contact with a friend of mine for a while now and he has just recently let me know that his dad's furniture company needs more customers and which he knew I am doing a media course he let me know if its possible to create a sort of project to gather more interest for the company.
Client interview - I would like to ask my client a couple of questions to gather more information:
- What is the age range of your target audience? 18+
- What is the purpose of this project and why? To gather more customers and expand on the brands knowledge
- Are there any certain colours or fonts you want/don't want? Black, Red, Purple and White will be the main colours
- Do you have content that you would like to reuse? No
- How do you want to distribute this project? example: print, online, videos or combination? Online video
Goals and target audience - To reach more areas of the world and receive more customers
Content - A promotional video which shows the products I have to offer
Design requirements - Use your own creativity
Distribution - Just on YouTube and Instagram
Brainstorming of product ideas - The main product ideas that I would use towards the rise in customers for this company would be to create niche advertisements, online video
Analyse similar products - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZYrmy0Q6Tg
Both, mine and this promotional video are using the same colours and also while the pictures of the furniture pops up the text comes along accordingly at the same time. The fonts are the only different thing as it has to have some uniqueness in it.
Client feedback
How well did the learners communicate with you? The communication was really well as I had a full schedule that the leaner created and updated me along the way if their are issues and what days I can do it or not. It was honestly a great experience and great attitude towards the project
How well did they complete tasks in a timely manner? Honestly they did not hesitate to start immediately, the learner just got straight to work and it took exactly how long they have said. The task was exactly as the provided schedule said
Are you happy with the final product/service completed by the learners? I am really excited as it has helped my business grow and made more customers much more aware of my brand, plus more individuals know exactly what I have to offer
What is one area you felt they could have performed better in? Maybe they could have performed better in by adding more and better transitions to not really bore away my customers as I would need then engaged however overall this was an amazing project
Evaluation
I have first researched about the different demographics there are then psychographics and behavioural data. Main research I have gathered from was social media insights, Google analytics and competitor research
Through producing the promotional video for my client’s furniture company, I learned a lot about the target audience millennials. I discovered that this audience values not just the aesthetic appeal of furniture, but also factors like sustainability, functionality, and lifestyle compatibility. They tend to respond well to modern, minimalist designs and appreciate storytelling that highlights quality, ethical production, and how the furniture fits into everyday life.
In my opinion, I believe that the work I have produced for my client meets the needs of the audience as I have involved most products which all have manufacture materials. I have showed every angle of the product so the audience can see exactly how the product is. I also made sure that the material of the product is seen clearly as I was using good lighting.
